Wilcox Central High School Cheerleaders spent their Saturday morning attending a cheer clinic for motions, stunts, and tumbling hosted by Alabama State University’s Cheerleaders. Job well done to our girls for their eagerness to gain exposure and learn new skills.

The following WCHS Scholars participated in today's Youth Summit on Racial Healing and Reconciliation. The Southern Rural Black Women's Initiative organized the leadership summit for our Student Ambassadors. Our young school leaders participated in friendly discussions involving race in America. One of the goals of our Ambassador Program is to prepare our students for life beyond high school, a life of corporate citizenry as they become successful adults. Our ambassadors are the next generation of entrepreneurs, professionals, and leaders. This type of forum will achieve our goals of preparing them for those roles by being a friendly atmosphere to approach a challenging subject free of judgment and guilt. Not only will they learn about each other, but they will learn how to approach difficult issues appropriately in the future, thus preparing them to be our leaders of tomorrow. We are proud of the following scholars:
Valicha Dale, Malyk Hayden, Cedrea Johns, Leslie Jones, Sa'Riyah Lawson, Isaiah Love, Corrina Mack, Yezmine Reeves and Jo'Kari Womack

Greetings female students,
