Today scholars at WCHS had the opportunity to engage in activities that promoted Pi Day. Senior Learners completed group assignments and presented their Pi Day presentations during whole group time.

Good afternoon,
All eleventh grade scholars will take the ACT with Writing test March 14-16th. The ACT is the capstone of ACT College and Career Readiness Solutions, and it is aligned to Alabama's College and Career Readiness Standards. The ACT with Writing is administered to all Grade 11 students enrolled in Alabama public high schools. The ACT is accepted by all four-year colleges and universities in the United States. See the testing schedule below:

The Construction Management Summer Academy for Young Women hosted by the Auburn University McWhorter School of Building Science is a program geared toward rising 11th - 12th grade female students interested in learning about the exciting and diverse career opportunities available in construction management.
As this is a scholarship camp, students selected for the program will have the $800 camp fee waived.
Camp is June 5-9, 2023.
The deadline to apply is March 31, 2023.

Congratulations to those scholars who traveled to Selma High School today to receive scholarships from Alabama A&M University. Over $160,000 was awarded to WCHS students. We would also like to thank our counselor, Ms. Pritchett, for serving as the official chaperone and liaison with Alabama A&M University and encouraging our students.

Scholars De'Untrey Cooper, Jacorie Hall, Olivia Haynes, and Shydasia Turner received the Academic Based Scholarship from Alabama A&M University.





Scholars Malyk Hayden, Chaquona Jones, Yezmine Reeves, and Sariyah Lawson received the Heritage Gold Award from Alabama A&M University.

There Has Been A Significant Amount Of Growth Academically, Musically and Behaviorally Since The Beginning Of The Season. Students Are Striving To Put Their Best Foot Forward Inside And Outside Of The Bandroom.

The fan bus will leave WCHS at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 in route to Birmingham, AL for the Central Regional basketball game vs. Hale Cty. HS. Tickets for the game are $10 and must be purchased on GoFan. Also, as a reward for a successful season, our Lady Jags will be allowed to ride the fan bus free of charge.
