The Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR) is working with the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) to make P-EBT cards available to qualifying families, as the program has been extended and modified under CARES 2.
Children who attended a school participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and received free or reduced meals for breakfast or lunch — and subsequently missed these meals due to school closures, may be eligible for P-EBT.
P-EBT cards will be mailed directly to qualifying students' homes beginning in May 2021. Parents, please contact your child’s school to verify that all contact information you have on file at the school is correct to avoid any delays in receipt of the P-EBT cards.

Due to power outages and road conditions throughout Wilcox County, the WCPSS will not hold classes tommorrow. Buses with WiFi will not be stationed at previous designated areas. Students will resume their virtual classes on Friday, September 18th.

We are excited to announce that we have finalized the plans for meal distribution for all virtual learning students.
Meal pick-up will begin tomorrow, September 3, 2020. (Please click on the following link https://thrillshare.com/s/documents-d5e493ea-5811-48de-8de5-2216b2ed0fe2/browse/165075 to view the meal pick-up schedule and menus.) Dates for meal distribution can be found in the first column on the breakfast and lunch menus. Meals will be distributed only once per week. Also, please pay attention to the meal pick-up times for each of the sites listed on the schedule.
We look forward to serving our students for the 2020-2021 School Year.
All WCPSS Teachers will return on Thursday to begin Professional Development for the upcoming school year.
