Applications are available for any student who is 16 years old or older and interested in working the polls at the upcoming election. Applications are located on the school website under documents and/or can be picked up at the school. Applications must be signed by a school official and are due October 21st.

Please plan to join us for the Countdown-to-College Workshop with Potential on October 22nd from 4pm-5pm via Gotowebinar. This VIRTUAL information-packed workshop is designed to help 8th-12th grade students and their parents prepare for college.
Potential is committed to help teens reach their full potential. With the large number of college and career choices, parents and students are not always sure where to begin. The Countdown-to-College Workshop is formatted as a panel with representatives from 3-5 colleges and universities. There will be opportunities to submit questions in advance and live throughout the webinar.
At the end of the workshop, there will be the chance for a door prize so make sure to stay through the end for a chance to win a free tablet! Attendees will leave this 60-minute workshop with:

● Tips to earn scholarships
● Full understanding of the 3 areas that ACT scores impact

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is HERE! The new FAFSA cycle officially opens today, October 1st. Students can complete this application to determine their eligibility for grants, scholarships, work-study jobs, and loans from the largest source of financial aid.
Not sure where to start? Creating an FSA ID is the first step! The FSA ID acts as the username and password for logging into the FAFSA. Pro tip: Students are encouraged to use a personal email account not subject to change like their school or work email!
Completing this application is a key step in the college application process.

The Alabama Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers has suspended all in-person fall 2020 college fairs. However, they are hosting three Virtual College Fairs for students and parents.
Live virtual fair options are:
September 17, 2020 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
October 20, 2020 9:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
November 17, 2020 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
