College Counts Scholarship Opens tomorrow, December 1
Eligibility: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible for this scholarship:
Be a high school senior or first-time college freshman beginning in fall 2021
Be a U.S. citizen
Be an Alabama resident
Planning to enroll in an Alabama eligible educational institution in fall 2021
Demonstrate financial need
Have a minimum GPA of 2.75
Have an ACT score of 26 or below

The Coolidge Scholarship is an annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study. The Coolidge may be used by recipients at any accredited college or university in the United States.
Any high school junior who plans to enroll in college in the fall of 2022 and is an American citizen is eligible to apply.
All applications must be completed online and submitted by 4:00 on Wednesday, January 20, 21.

Six options for finding scholarships
The PSAT/NMSQT is the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. PSAT scores are used to identify National Merit Scholars and award merit scholarships. More than 3.4 million high school students (mostly juniors) take this nationwide, multiple-choice test every year.

The deadline to register is Friday, November 20th.
November is National Scholarship Month, referred to by the National Scholarship Providers Association as a time to raise awareness of scholarship opportunities for current and future college students. November is also an excellent time to begin the scholarship application process if you have not done so already.

Attention all student athletes: Foot Locker Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY
In order to be eligible for the Foot Locker Scholar Athletes Program, the applicant must:
Be entering college in the Fall of 2021 as a Freshman at an accredited four-year institution for an undergraduate degree;
Be currently involved in high school sports, intramural sports, or community based sports.
Have a minimum GPA of 3.0;
Be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident (you will be asked to prove citizenship and age if you win);
Not be an employee, officer or director of Foot Locker, Inc., or any of its subsidiaries, or a member of the immediate family of such an employee, officer or director.

Wilcox Central High School Parenting Day Parade will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. today!
Masks must be worn as parents will drive through the front of the school to receive their parent packets and "pull-up" in the parking lot.
Gifts will be given by the winning ticket that is drawn. Ticket winners must honk their horn, wear their mask and a faculty member will bring the gift to the car.
