Attention Parents: The Wilcox County Public School System will offer Summer School (Failed Classes), Credit Recovery, and Enrichment this summer at Wilcox Central High School. Summer School will be held June 5-June 29, 2023 and July 5-7, 2023 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. each day. Applications are available in the front office and must be returned by May 26, 2023.

Members of the Wilcox Central High School F.B.L.A. attended the Alabama F.B.L.A. 72nd Annual State Leadership Conference on April 21, 2023 in Mobile, AL at the Mobile Convention Center. The conference consists of competitions, leadership training workshops, networking with other FBLA members in the state of Alabama, motivational speakers, state officers campaigns and elections and entertainment. Attending this conference helps students to prepare for careers in business focusing on academic competitions and leadership development. This is an exciting opportunity for our students to participate in these competitive events and compete among some of the best in the state. For this academic school year we have two winners. Sariyah Lawson - Word Processing - 2nd Place Valicha Dale - Computer Applications - 4th Place Congratulations young ladies for being one of the best in the state. Congratulations to senior scholar Valicha Dale on being selected to participate in The University of West Alabama's Leadership Black Belt Program! The Black Belt Leadership Program (BBLP) recognizes outstanding high school graduating seniors who have achieved excellence in leadership. This program includes a scholarship in the amount of $4,000 annually. Valicha was 1 of 10 students from the Black Belt Region selected for this program. Congratulations Valicha!

WCHS scholars attended a "Dead on Arrival" forum. The forum was sponsored and presented by members of the Council on Substance Abuse. They discussed the dangers of fentanyl and how scholars can protect themselves and others from the exposure of fentanyl and other drugs.
