Wilcox Central High School invites the community to take a visible stand against drugs by celebrating Red Ribbon Week from October 26-31. Red Ribbon Week raises awareness of drug use and the problems related to drugs facing our community, and encourages parents, educators, business owners, and other community organizations to promote drug-free lifestyles.
“Research shows that children are less likely to use alcohol and other drugs when parents and other role models are clear and consistent in their opposition to drug use and the misuse of prescription drugs.”
Our activities scheduled throughout the week are as follows: Monday - Too Bright for Drugs (wear neon)
Tuesday - Red out Drugs (wear red) *Wilcox Central High School Parenting Day Parade will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m.* Masks must be worn as parents will drive through the front of the school to receive their parent packets and "pull-up" in the parking lot. Gifts will be given by the winning ticket that is drawn. Ticket winners must honk their horn, wear their mask and a faculty member will bring the gift to the car!
