Dear Parents and Students,
Please plan to join us for the Countdown-to-College Workshop with Potential on October 22nd from 4pm-5pm via Gotowebinar. This VIRTUAL information-packed workshop is designed to help 8th-12th grade students and their parents prepare for college.
Potential is committed to help teens reach their full potential. With the large number of college and career choices, parents and students are not always sure where to begin. The Countdown-to-College Workshop is formatted as a panel with representatives from 3-5 colleges and universities. There will be opportunities to submit questions in advance and live throughout the webinar.
At the end of the workshop, there will be the chance for a door prize so make sure to stay through the end for a chance to win a free tablet! Attendees will leave this 60-minute workshop with:
- Insight into the college admissions process
- Scholarship opportunities
- Tips to earn scholarships
- Full understanding of the 3 areas that ACT scores impact
- ACT/SAT tips for improving scores
- Impacts of different real-life scenarios (missing deadlines, changing your mind, etc)
- Benefits of community college attendance and dual-enrollment
- Tips to maximize your FAFSA-based grants and awards
You can register for the virtual workshop here. The registration form will be automatically entered into our scholarship drawing for a chance to win a $500 scholarship so please make sure to fill out all of the presented fields. (parents – your email counts as a bonus application!)
