The Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR) is working with the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) to make P-EBT cards available to qualifying families, as the program has been extended and modified under CARES 2. Children who attended a school participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and received free or reduced meals for breakfast or lunch — and subsequently missed these meals due to school closures, may be eligible for P-EBT. P-EBT cards will be mailed directly to qualifying students' homes beginning in May 2021. Parents, please contact your child’s school to verify that all contact information you have on file at the school is correct to avoid any delays in receipt of the P-EBT cards.

Good afternoon! The WCPSS’s Child Nutrition Program will resume its normal meal delivery schedule this week. Meals will be available for pick-up and/or delivery on tomorrow, Wednesday, February 24, 2021. At this time, Wilcox Central High School’s Cafeteria will remain closed. Therefore, no meals will be delivered in the Camden area. If you are picking up meals in the Camden area, those meals will be available for pickup at J. E. Hobbs Elementary School. Attention WCHS Senior Scholars, A 2nd Free Alabama College Application Week will be available from February 22-26, 2021. A list of participating schools is on the school's website under documents. If you have already completed applications to these schools, you do not need to submit another application. Meetings will be held at 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Only one meeting attendance is required. Zoom links for attendance have been sent to each senior’s school email account.
