WCPSS will be delayed by one hour on today Wednesday, November 30, 2022, to ensure safe transport of students and travel of staff. School will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Due to anticipated severe weather/flooding later this afternoon/evening, the WCPSS will dismiss at 12:45 p.m. today. This further ensures that buses will safely transport our students home in a timely manner.

All WCPSS faculty, staff, and students will return to school tomorrow, Monday, November 28, 2022. We look forward to seeing all scholars as we continue the remainder of 2022.

Dear Parents & Guardians
All students in the state of Alabama are required by law to have an Alabama Certificate of Immunization (IMM-50, Blue Slip) that is not expired.
While conducting a survey, it has been discovered that many of our students are lacking a valid blue slip. If this could possibly be a child or children of yours, please contact your child’s healthcare provider and take care of this matter as soon as possible.
Return the updated blue slip to the school nurse where your child is in attendance within a two-week timeframe of seeing this notice.

Hello Parents,
Just a friendly reminder that the flu season is here. In an attempt to minimize the spread of any virus with our system, the nursing department is asking that you please consider taking advantage of the free flu shot clinic that will be held at all Wilcox County Public School campuses for students on December 12, 2022. The healthcare workers will be on all school campuses all day.

The Wilcox County Board of Education Summer Feeding July 6-29, 2022! Bring your kids out to get breakfast and lunch at one of our school sites! See attachments for other community sites in your area for lunch!
Last week Dr. Charles Kidd and his Technology team visited all campuses of the nurses offices of WCPSS. During the visit the team was able to connect all Telehealth equipment that will be used by each school. The Telehealth Program allows us to offer these options to the students and guardians of our system. We are excited to have this new update to better serve our system. More information will be sent home with the students next week.
Due to the anticipated threat of severe weather, Wilcox County Public Schools will conduct an e-learning day on tomorrow, April 5, 2022. All students and staff will work from home. Students and staff will return on April 6, 2022.
Attention WCHS Senior Parents and Guardians,
There will be a mandatory senior meeting on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. in the Wilcox Central High School Gymnasium. Parents are asked to bring your child , your most recent W-2 forms or 1099 forms, pencil and paper. Every Senior and Parent or Guardian must attend!! If you have any questions or concerns please contact the school at (334) 682-2032.
Please be reminded, there will be no classes for all WCPSS students on Friday, March 11th. All staff and faculty are asked to report to their designated schools for professional development. Students return to in-person learning on Monday, March 14, 2022.🍎

The Wilcox County Public School System's Child Nutrition Program will provide a Five-Day Meal Kit for all virtual students on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Meal Kits can be picked up from any of the five school sites. (Please see the flyer for more details pertaining to the preparation of the food products that will be provided.) As always, the WCPSS's Child Nutrition Program appreciates your support!
Happy New Year from the WCPSS! All Wilcox County students will return to school on tomorrow, January 4, 2022. Our mandatory mask regulation is still in place. Please be sure to check backpacks for items that may need to be discarded, and replenish supplies as necessary.
Please note, If your child is showing any symptoms related to Covid-19, or he or she has been exposed to someone positive, we ask that you do not send
them to school at this time. Please contact your child's school nurse if your child has tested positive, showing symptoms, or has came in close contact with someone who is positive. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and update you as information because more available. Our first priority is the safety of the school body, and we look forward to providing a safe and productive learning environment for the remainder of the school year.

Per WCPSS Superintendent Dr. Andre’ P. Saulsberry, the WCPSS will have a virtual learning day on Friday, November 12, 2021. All students will complete assignments on Friday from home. Regular in-school learning will resume on Monday, November 15, 2021. Please contact your child’s school if there are any questions or concerns.
